Unfortunately we are unable to offer COVID antibody testing at present

As of 8th June 2020, anybody entering the surgery MUST wear a face covering such as fabric masks (these do not need to be medical grade masks) but this is essential for patient and staff safety. We need to continue to maintain social distancing in the waiting room, therefore we would ask where possible for patients to wait outside. You can inform us you have arrived via a phone call to reception.

MECATS Opticians (Minor Eye Conditions and Treatment Service)

MECATS is a local programme where local opticians are seeing patients for minor eye conditions such as:

  • Red eye
  • Gritty / Itchy / Dry / Uncomfortable eye
  • Sore / Painful / Light Sensitive eye
  • Discharge / Sticky eye
  • Watery eye
  • Contact lens stuck in the eye
  • Foreign body in eye / scratches to the eye
  • Lumps and bumps in vicinity of eye
  • Flashing lights, floaters, things / objects / patches in the vision or sight
  • Double vision, seeing two or more objects with recent onset, where patient is not unwell
