NHS 111 is the number to call when you need medical help fast but its not a life-threatening emergency. Calls to NHS 111 are FREE from landlines ans mobiles and is available 24/7, every day of the year
Call 111 when:
- You think you need to go to A&E or another NHS urgent car service
- Your GP sugery is closed - you cannot wait until your surgery re-opens and you need healthcare advice
Call 999 for life-threatening emergencies such as:
- Major accident or trauma
- Severe bleeding
- Severe Chest Pain
- Suspected Stroke
- Severe breathlessness
- Loss of consciousness
