GREAT LUMLEY SURGERY

Welcome to Great Lumley Surgery.  Great Lumley is a semi-rural practice on the outskirts of Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham.  We have a list size of 4760, which is steadily increasing.  At present there is one full-time partner, two part-time partners and a doctor employed for 1 ½ days per week under the GP flexible career scheme.  The practice is committed to ongoing education and is involved in teaching and training doctors, nurses and administration staff and we regularly have doctors who work with us at the surgery for 6 months as part of their training in general practice.  A dedicated team of nursing and administrative staff support us.  We like to look on ourselves as an integrated team providing high quality care to the patients that we serve and are all highly motivated and dedicated towards achieving that aim. 

NIGHT AND WEEKEND COVER

Out of hours cover is provided by Durham & Chester-le-Street Primary Care Trust at the Out of Hours Centre at  University Hospital of North Durham. General Practitioners and the Partners of this practice,  are committed to working approximately 2 shifts every month.
